Duck or Get Hit: Family Values vs Political Value
Duck or Get Hit
Family Values vs. Political Value
Senator McCain has dropped the ball again in the end zone and caused the other team to take the lead. Many years ago I considered myself a faithful Republican and voted for Bush. This was a mistake I will never make with McCain.
We as a nation must start questioning all choices political and blow the whistle on those elected for their mistakes. A good example is the Palin family value system. We have all seen the television commercials about teen pregnancy, so where was mom or dad when Bristol Palin was having unprotected sex at age 17?
Senator McCain chose Sarah Palin to win over Clinton supporters, especially the female voters. This is a solid political maneuver, yet McCain’s choice for a running mate had placed her career ahead of family values. The same values are strongly argued during elections and though Obama is planning to avoid the Bristol scandal of 2008, the public will never let this disappear.
As a voter I want to know how the person that might potentially be second in charge of the country misses out on her daughter’s sexual choices and how will she handle this nations choices. McCain is 72 and Palin might become President Palin. How can she run a nation, but miss that her daughter is having unprotected sex and is pregnant and going to marry at the age of 17?
I am not a parent, but a teacher, coach, and author and I know which of my students were doing what. The Palin family values just do not exist. So how can any realistic American looking for a better future support this Republican duo?
The American public has only one option. We know McCain’s views and values learned under our present leader and now McCain has chosen a person that places career before family. If there are any sensible voters left in America please look at the values of this ticket. Family is the most important issue. Are you willing to stand behind your unwed daughter and say it is okay, things happen or will you be there before they happen?
This is not about a pregnant teenager. It is about a person that might be second in charge of parenting a nation and nurturing the planet. Explaining an accidental anything to a nation is easier than explaining an accidental anything to the world.
